Epiphany Ministry
An Epiphany weekend is a three day experience in Christianity, bringing the message of God’s love, grace and forgiveness to incarcerated juveniles. The children in this facility have often been shortchanged by life.
They come from extreme poverty and dire circumstances, some have committed unspeakable crimes, others have suffered so much abuse and neglect that they are unable to function in a regular family situations. During the weekend, volunteers, demonstrate God’s unconditional love. Finding forgiveness is a key part of the weekend. The children learn that God offers forgiveness freely.

I am often asked why I would want to spend so much time with these youth. Matthew 25:36 reminds us that when we visit those in prison, we are visiting Christ. And we must remember that Jesus loved the children! These children need someone. As I look at my life and the blessing that God has bestowed upon me, I realize how blessed I am. My children grew up in this wonderful church where you all taught them Sunday School, the Bible, and how to live a Christian life. As a single parent, I depended on all of you my brothers and sisters in Christ for that extra reinforcement of the values I wanted them to have.

The children in the Texas prison system do not have this benefit. You may not be called to work or volunteer with these children, but there is a way you can help, each Epiphany weekend costs about $5,000 to put on. If you would like to donate to this cause, please contact mei. Your donations provide meals, bibles, materials, and supplies for the weekend.
Epiphany is a registered 501© organization and all donations are tax deductible. If you do not feel led or cannot commit to a monetary donation, WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS! These children feel cut off and forgotten by the world, one of the ways that we demonstrate the power of Christian love and prayer is to have people sign up on a prayer “chain”. Each person commits to a time of prayer over the weekend, by signing his or her “first name only” and the town that you live in on the prayer chain. The prayer chain is brought out during the weekend, the chain is then held out for the children to see, what an amazing act of Christian love for children who feel that no one cares, to see that someone, anyone took the time to pray unselfishly for them. I promise you, lives change and seeds of Christian love happen.
If you would like to know more about Epiphany ministries or would like to sign up on the prayer chain, or donate, please contact me at wendy.withers@wenaco.com, find me at church or call me (940) 206-7204, Thank you and God Bless. Pray for his children, Wendy Withers
