Jesus said, "Let the little children
come to me." And what an invitation that is--always
open for all children to discover the joy of being loved
and accepted and cared for.
As United Methodists, we offer the sacrament of baptism
to all, from the newborn to adult. A child is baptised
as a sign of the grace that is always before us, and
parents and guardians make promises to raise that little
one in the ways of God. When children are old enough
to understand more fully the Good News of Jesus Christ,
we bring them through a Confirmation Class into full
membership of the church. |
| Program Information |
| We have Sunday School for all ages from
10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall and the
adjacent classrooms. Children are taught Bible from their
earliest moments in a safe, loving and educationally rich
environment. In the fall of 2008, we are instituting the
"Midweek Miracle," a special program for all
children and youth. More information can be found here. |
|
Each summer, we have a delightful Vacation
Bible School--see the photos here
from our last one. Children from all over come and enjoy
that time with our talented teachers. In 2008, VBS will
have a "Beach Party" Theme and will meet from
6-8 p.m. July 27-31. We'll feed the little ones a light
meal at the beginning of the time together so you can
bring them hungry! |
| After we move into the new facility, we
will begin extensive mid-week programming for children
of all ages. We will worship, sing, do drama and eat together
in a nurturing, multi-generation environment. |
| Worship includes a children's message each
week--it's a wonderful sight to see the children eagerly
come to the chancel rail for their special time. |
| We also have a very popular Children's Day
Out program, two days a week. More information is here. |
